In the summer and fall we have volunteer workshop days at our community workspace in North Portland where people can learn paper mache and puppet-building skills while helping us build amazing new pieces for the procession.
Additionally starting in June 2024 we are offering tuition-based mask-making and lantern-making classes for people who want to make their very own pieces while helping us raise funds to support the procession and other events.
Volunteer Workshop Days:
Help us make puppets for the procession!
From June through October 2024 we are hosting drop-in giant paper mache puppet building workshops for volunteers most Wednesdays and some Saturdays, 10am-3pm, at our new workspace at Green Anchors. Mainly suited for adults, but kids can come if they are willing to help their adults. For more information please visit https://www.wildlandroots.org/volunteer
